FAQS

The Most Common Question We Get Asked

How is BlackForestForge different from other hunting gear brands?

BlackForestForge is independent and small by design. Every product we make started as a real problem
we ran into ourselves in the field, not something dreamed up in a boardroom. We build, test, and stand
behind what we make, no middlemen, no outsourcing, no guesswork.

Are BlackForestForge products actually made in the USA?

Every product is designed, printed, and assembled by hand in our own shop in Eastern NC. We’re a small,
hands-on operation, not a reseller, not outsourced overseas. Like most manufacturers, some raw materials,
such as filament, are sourced from suppliers rather than produced by us, but all the design, printing, and
finishing work happens right here.

Why does BlackForestForge use 3D printing, and is it durable for hunting and fishing
use?

We print with PETG, a material known for holding up well to impact, cold temperatures, and moisture.
Some BlackForestForge products have been in daily outdoor use for over five years now, on the boat, in
the woods, through sun, rain, and cold, and they’re still holding up strong. It’s a material we’ve tested
ourselves, for years, in the same conditions you’ll be using it.

How fast do orders ship, and from where?

Orders usually ship within 24 hours, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, from our shop in
Eastern North Carolina. Most orders go out via USPS Ground Advantage. See our Shipping & Returns
page for full details.

What’s your return policy if something doesn’t fit or isn’t right?

We offer returns within 30 days of delivery. If you simply need to return an item, return shipping is on
you. If we made a mistake on your order or it arrived damaged, we cover it, no cost to you. See our
Returns page for full details.

Don’t see what you’re looking for?

Reach out through our contact form. We’re always happy to talk through a custom project or hear what
you’d want to see added to the lineup. A lot of what we make started exactly that way.
