The wading belt rod holder is made for anglers who need a free hand on the water without setting a rod down or wedging it under an arm. It slides directly onto your existing wading belt and holds the rod at an angle, keeping it steady at your side instead of letting it drift back behind you while you’re netting a fish, tying on a fly, or working your way through current.

There’s no clip or lock, and that’s the point. Slide the rod handle in, pull it out when you’re ready to cast, nothing to fumble with when a fish is rising and you need your hands free fast.

We use this mainly for trout fishing. It’s built for freshwater rods and isn’t intended for saltwater or offshore fishing, where rods tend to run heavier than this holder is designed to handle.
